Mark Birkett DipPFS AIFP
Mark Birkett is the Managing Director. Mark has over 20 years experience within the financial services industry, working in the Midlands and North-East England. He first became an Independent Financial Adviser in 1995 and later worked at one of the UK's largest accountancy firms.
Mark is highly qualified within the industry, holding advanced qualifications in his specialist subjects – retirement options, personal investment planning, taxation and trusts. He is a member of several professional organisations, being an Associate Member of the Institute of Financial Planners and a member, by diploma, of the Personal Finance Society.
Mark founded Austen Birkett Financial Planning because he wanted to create a modern financial planning practice with an exceptional level of service complementing his specialist advice and experience.
Mark states, "My aim is to always deliver the best quality advice and service. People expect me to be their adviser and I can assure them this will always be so. I measure my success on the solid relationships I have with my clients, many of whom I have advised for years."
Mark lives in Nottingham with his wife, Charlotte and their two young daughters.
Charlotte Birkett MSc PGCE
Charlotte Birkett (nee Austen) is a non-advising Director and Practice Manager. Charlotte co-ordinates personnel involved with administration and the business accounting.
Her original vocation was as a biology teacher but after her children were school-age, she returned to work for this family business.
